Artistic Roots

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to California when I was 6. Living there for 4 years I was exposed to a far more interesting culture; going to the beach nearly every day and going to plenty of arts festivals.

Then I moved to Arizona, where it was way too hot but they also had an artistic culture that rivaled Californias. Almost every month there was an arts festival showcasing a variety of styles and mediums. I started taking art classes in my junior year of high school and never really did much outside of classwork assignments.

I then moved back to Utah to come to school and was amazed at how little was going on there in terms of art. I started painting my freshman year of college just in my free time as a hobby, and my collection of paintings has grown to what you see on this site.
